I know it’s early and you may not have given Mother’s Day too much thought yet. This will be the third Mother’s Day without my Mom.

I can’t go back and change the past but I can encourage others to be mindful that your Mom will not always be here!
My family did not make a big deal around Holidays like this but I always sent a card, a plant or made a phone call.
One reason I didn’t do more was procrastination, if I’m being honest. My Mom lived 14 hours away, I had to plan ahead to send a gift!
If you are like me and tend to procrastinate, why not be proactive this year and plan?
Here are some tips to get your creative juices flowing.
  • Make It Personal: Consider something that reflects her interests.
  • Quality Time: If this is her thing, spend the day with her doing what she loves.
  • Express Your Gratitude: Sometimes, a heartfelt note or a simple ‘Thank you for everything she’s done.
  • Make a Memory Book: Fill the book with photos notes, and memories that she can treasure forever.
  • Subscription Box: It’s a gift that keeps on giving all year. There are many choices out there from coffee/tea, books, gardening, and more. What are her interests?
Remember you don’t need to wait for Mother’s Day if you get the urge to do or say something sooner!😀
The truth is we never know when it might be the last chance to say, “I love you, Mom.” I wish I had said it more often!
These are some of my thoughts as a think of Mother’s Day!
