It was the summer of 2018. We had no plans to buy a second home. After seeing this dome house on the market for several months Bob decided to go look at it.

Then I got a call from Bob, “Hey what are you doing tonight?  Remember that dome house.  I came and looked at it and we could meet with a realtor and see it. Can you drive up here?”  It was only an hour away. It seemed a little crazy and exciting at the same time. After all, one of the reasons I married him was so I wouldn’t get too dried up.

Needless to say, we fell in love with the place. “Do you think we should buy it?” Bob asked.  It was crazy and at the time I had no idea why, but I said, “Yes!”

You may not understand but my normal response in that situation would be something like, “We don’t need another place. Who is going to clean it.”

It was in the woods (something I always wanted) & it was small. The initial plan was that it would be our cabin up north. A place to hang out with kids and grandkids.

This is what it looked like when we bought it.

Stay Tuned…I will be sharing more about just how this place came to be what it is today.
